Dentures

Dentures or a partial denture is a simple and economical way to restore one or more teeth, especially molars. This solution is used when it is impossible to restore the tooth by a bridge, crowns or implants. In comparison with bridges and crowns dentures are removable solution and the patient must remove it from time to time for cleaning.

What is the difference between a full and a partial denture?

Full denture is a simple and economical solution to restore the missing teeth, but it has some disadvantages. Each denture is placed on the soft tissues of the gums and during chewing the dentures exerts great pressure on the gums. At the same time, after a meal, the rest of food can stay under the dentures, which can evoke inflammation of gums without timely cleaning.

Partial dentures

Partial dentures are made of plastic (gum and teeth) and metal. Teeth and artificial gums are attached to the metal base. The metal hooks are used to anchor the dentures to the remaining teeth of the patient’s mouth. This type of dentures makes it possible to reduce the pressure on the gums. The patient can choose the right dentures after consultation at the clinic.
